Greta Van Fleet played an intimate concert at Chicago's 1,100-capacity Metro venue on 31 July, with footage of the show since uploaded to YouTube by the Mike Dziama channel. The performance follows a similar small-venue show at New York's Bowery Ballroom two months earlier, where the band debuted its new single "Play Your Games", and comes ahead of the release of their new album "Palace For The People" on 9 October.

The Detroit-born, Nashville-based rock band, made up of brothers Josh, Jake and Sam Kiszka plus drummer Daniel Wagner, had not played live since September 2024 prior to the Bowery Ballroom gig. The forthcoming album, recorded in Tennessee in spring 2026 and co-produced with Mike Elizondo, takes its title from the story behind London's Alexandra Palace, discovered during the band's sold-out 2022 world tour, and follows 2023's "Starcatcher" as their most recent release.
