Musicians Josh Homme, Chad Smith and Andrew Watt joined forces at a charity Golf Jam event to perform cover versions of classic rock songs by David Bowie, INXS, Tom Petty and others. The event, held on Monday 31 August, was organised by Smith and Watt to raise funds for the Chad Smith Foundation, which supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in pursuing music.

The one-day gathering began with a round of 18 holes of championship golf before moving into an evening of live performances, with a rotating cast of guest musicians joining the pair on stage. Attendees included Will Ferrell, Joel Madden, Breckin Meyer and former NBA star Derek Fisher, while Homme's appearance saw him tackle Bowie's "Let's Dance", INXS's "Need You Tonight", Tom Petty's "Running Down a Dream" and Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London", alongside other classics from Led Zeppelin, The Who, Black Sabbath and The Beatles. The night also featured a charity auction, and comes as Homme's band Queens Of The Stone Age prepare to release their new album "Perfecth" on 30 October.
