Watch ‘Minions & Monsters’ Stars Jesse Eisenberg, Jeff Bridges and Zoey Deutch Speak Minionese
The latest Minions instalment transports the franchise to 1920s Hollywood, where the iconic yellow characters pursue stardom alongside a diverse ensemble cast. Jesse Eisenberg voices Dort, an alien character, whilst Zoey Deutch plays Debbie, a suffragette. Jeff Bridges and Bobby Moynihan portray competing studio executives, and Allison Janney returns as a museum guide narrator for the film.
At the Hollywood world premiere, the cast attempted to speak the franchise's signature gibberish language, Minionese. Deutch expressed enthusiasm about her involvement, emphasising how the franchise resonates globally despite the fictional language barrier. Eisenberg characterised the opportunity as extraordinarily fortunate and thrilling, whilst Bridges compared the filmmaking experience to nostalgic childhood play and access to exclusive entertainment.
