A Missouri man attempted a dramatic escape from deputies by sprinting across a bridge and diving headfirst into the water below, in a chase captured on police video. The Stone County Sheriff's Office released footage of the incident, which shows the extreme lengths some suspects will go to in order to avoid arrest, though the man was ultimately taken into custody.

The suspect, named as 26-year-old Gavin Thor Lundgren of Kimberling City, was filmed running across a two-lane bridge before leaping headfirst into Table Rock Lake in a bid to escape pursuing deputies. Despite the dive, he was caught and arrested by law enforcement officers shortly afterwards.
