Beat-Club, an influential West German television series that ran throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s, has released archival footage of Black Sabbath performing N.I.B. during one of two appearances the heavy metal band made at the Bremen-based music show in 1970. The footage captures a performance that remained unseen by the public for over fifty years following its original taping.

The clip appears to have been withheld from broadcast at the time, with evidence suggesting that Ozzy Osbourne's vocal error—singing "true" instead of "real" in the song's lyrics—may have influenced that decision. During their return visit to Beat-Club in September of the same year, the band performed selections from their second album, including the title track and Iron Man.

  • Previously unreleased archival footage of Black Sabbath performing N.I.B. on the German music programme Beat-Club in 1970 has been officially released
  • The performance was likely withheld from broadcast after Ozzy Osbourne sang an incorrect lyric, and the band returned to the show later that year with material from their Paranoid album
