Richie Sambora joined the all-star rock collective Kings of Chaos to perform Bon Jovi classics at The Show at Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California, on 1 August 2026, in a rare live appearance for the guitarist since departing Bon Jovi. Fan-filmed footage of the set has since circulated online, marking a notable reunion moment as Sambora shared the stage with Phil X, the guitarist who replaced him in Bon Jovi.

Kings of Chaos, founded by former Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum, features a rotating lineup of top rock musicians. The Rancho Mirage show also included vocalists Jack Blades, Kevin Cronin and Glenn Hughes, alongside musicians Steve Stevens, Phil X, Mike Mangan and Eliot Lorango, with Sambora performing hits including "Livin' On A Prayer" and "Wanted Dead Or Alive" that he co-wrote with Jon Bon Jovi. Sorum has described the project, which released the single "Judgement Day" in 2022, as a fun, low-pressure "bucket list" venture built by calling rock legends he'd long wanted to play with.
