Sombr opened his Reading Festival 2026 set with a theatrical entrance alongside Slayyyter, appearing on an ambulance stretcher before walking backstage and onto The Grid stage. The stunt, which included both artists doing press-ups en route, preceded one of the festival weekend’s largest crowds and highlighted the growing profile of both US pop performers.

Slayyyter had already played The Grid earlier that day, performing material from her March album ‘WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA’, while Sombr arrived from Electric Picnic in Ireland, where he had performed ‘Zombie’ with The Cranberries’ Noel and Mike Hogan. Sombr’s debut album, ‘I Barely Know Her’, was released in August 2025, and both artists are scheduled to perform at Leeds Festival on 30 August.
