Stevie Nicks performed her 1983 hit Stand Back on Jimmy Kimmel Live, shortly before appearing at Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields event in California. The appearance marks another recent television performance by the Fleetwood Mac singer and highlights the continued prominence of one of her best-known solo songs.
Stand Back featured on Nicks’ Wild Heart album and included synthesisers by Prince, whose Little Red Corvette inspired its melody. Nicks said she wrote the song’s initial lyric and melody while travelling on her honeymoon, later contacting Prince to contribute; she will join artists including Bikini Kill, Doechii, Garbage and Chappell Roan at Daisy Chain Fields.
