The penultimate episode of Starz’s Power Book III: Raising Kanan delivered three major deaths ahead of the series finale, increasing the stakes for the crime drama’s final instalment. Alongside Marvin’s death, Snaps and Pop were killed in a surprise turn by Jukebox, after it emerged that the couple had been responsible for Famous’s death in the previous season.

Actors Wendell Pierce and Erika Woods, who play Snaps and Pop and are a couple in real life, told Deadline they were drawn to the show’s writing and the chance to portray distinctive, morally corrupt characters. They said their familiarity with one another helped their on-screen collaboration, while Woods described playing Pop as a departure from her usual law-enforcement roles; the characters had joined the series in Season 3.
