Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival will bring together artists including Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, Garbage and Stevie Nicks for a female-focused, intergenerational celebration of music. Performers say its equal billing and non-overlapping sets reject competitive norms, while its emphasis on women’s rights and community responds to the continuing underrepresentation of women at major festivals.

The one-day event takes place on 29 August at Great Park in Irvine, California, with every act listed in the same font size regardless of profile. Rodrigo personally invited performers, including Shirley Manson and newcomer Eli, and 100% of net proceeds will support organisations such as Planned Parenthood and the Center for Reproductive Rights. The festival follows the tradition of female-led events including Lilith Fair, while a 2025 report found women made up only 21.6% of headliners across nine major festivals.
