The revamp matters because it aims both to reward existing supporters — who fund the site despite most RPS content being free — and to make the subscription more attractive to newcomers, with prices held steady.

The confirmed changes include more frequent Supporter-exclusive posts on the Premium tier, a revived practice of curating older exclusives to be reposted free for all readers, and extended ad-free browsing that now blocks sponsored content for logged-in supporters. The team also promises the return of monthly "Letters from the Editor", new behind-the-scenes and cut-content articles, and a monthly roundup of exclusive pieces. Pricing for both the Standard and Premium tiers stays unchanged, and the author says further additions are being explored, including a reader survey and the possibility of more game or item code giveaways, though the latter cannot be guaranteed.
