Canadian singer-songwriter Kaiya Gamble has outlined the progress of her career since winning the Teen Category of American Songwriter’s Song Contest in 2023 at age 16. Now 19, she has reached Hollywood Week on American Idol, supported established artists and secured television sync placements, developments she says have strengthened her confidence and expanded her opportunities.

Gamble has released further music and is preparing her debut EP, led by “Home”, a song inspired by her close relationship with her younger sister and the broader idea of feeling safe with someone. She says her soulful pop style draws on artists including Reneé Rapp, Lizzy McAlpine, Whitney Houston, Fleetwood Mac and Alessia Cara, while an online fan community has become an important part of her work.
