## Key points

- Le Bris welcomes Sunderland’s demanding schedule.
- Sunderland have only one league win this season.
- Injuries have exposed a shortage of striker cover.

## Summary

Sunderland manager Régis Le Bris says the club’s packed schedule is an opportunity to improve, despite a difficult start to the season. Saturday’s Premier League match at Coventry reunites the sides after Sunderland eliminated Frank Lampard’s team in last season’s Championship play-offs.

Sunderland have managed only one league win so far, and European and domestic cup commitments have added to their workload. Le Bris says the team rediscovered its identity in a 0-0 draw with Leeds and points to a 3-2 Carabao Cup win over Brentford. Injuries to strikers Brian Brobbey and Wilson Isidor have highlighted limited attacking cover, while recruitment changes have also affected the club.
