## Key points

- Hair tests detected 11 drugs the woman had not been prescribed.
- Prosecutors said the drug and alcohol mix could have been fatal.
- Nine men are on trial; four others have admitted offences.

## Summary

A court has heard that a woman in Stockport was secretly given a mixture of 11 drugs by her husband, who has admitted raping her over a 20-year period. Prosecutors said the substances, combined with alcohol, could have caused severe sedation and might have been fatal; nine other men are on trial accused of sexually abusing her.

Hair testing after the husband’s arrest in October 2025 detected morphine, ketamine, cocaine and several sedatives and tranquillisers, none prescribed to the woman. Prosecutors said the results may understate her exposure because she dyed her hair regularly. The husband is also accused of sharing abuse footage online and inviting men he had met online to the couple’s home; four other men have admitted offences.
