## Key points

- *The Black Parade* is in contention for its first Billboard 200 No. 1.
- A 20th anniversary reissue includes six bonus tracks and many physical editions.
- Olivia Rodrigo’s recent chart lead was 75,000 units.

## Summary

My Chemical Romance’s 2006 album *The Black Parade* could earn the band its first Billboard 200 No. 1 next week, following a 20th anniversary reissue that has renewed fan interest. The result will depend on whether the album’s sales and streams can overtake Olivia Rodrigo’s current chart-leading release.

The deluxe edition adds six tracks and is available in numerous new physical formats, including 15 vinyl variants, which are expected to boost sales. *The Black Parade* originally peaked at No. 2 after selling 240,000 copies in its first week, behind the *Hannah Montana* soundtrack; it is currently at No. 139 in its 161st week on the chart. Rodrigo’s album recently returned to No. 1 with 75,000 units, although its total may fall as a new remix loses momentum.
