Will Smith’s Sci-Fi Hit Is Officially Getting a Second Chance on Apple TV
Apple TV has added the 2004 sci-fi thriller I, Robot to its standard streaming library, marking part of a wider push by the platform to license older films rather than rely solely on original programming. The Will Smith-led feature had been unavailable to stream for some time, and its return gives fans of the platform's acclaimed original sci-fi output, such as Severance and Pluribus, further viewing options while those shows await release dates for their next seasons.
I, Robot grossed more than $350 million at the box office against a $120 million budget and also stars Bridget Moynahan, Bruce Greenwood and Alan Tudyk. Since being added, the film has climbed into Apple TV's top ten most-watched titles, currently sitting at number seven. Apple TV has also confirmed that Silo, another popular original dystopian series starring Rebecca Ferguson, will conclude with a fourth and final season next summer.
