William Shatner has announced his first concert with metal backing band The *uckers, scheduled for 19 September at Park West in Chicago. The show serves as a warm-up for his previously announced Riot Fest appearance the following day and marks a new musical venture for the 95-year-old Star Trek actor.

Shatner is expected to perform material from his forthcoming debut metal album, including Judas Priest covers featuring Rob Halford and Mikkey Dee. His backing musicians include Marcus Nand, Phil Soussan, Britt Lightning and Fred Aching; the Park West date is among several Riot Fest side shows across Chicago.
