A 32-year-old Florida woman, Lynda Mae Crouse, has been arrested on robbery and grand theft charges after allegedly drugging a man she met at Gulfstream Park casino complex in Hallandale Beach before stealing his Rolex watch worth nearly $100,000 (£78,000). The case has drawn wider attention as investigators are now linking Crouse to four other similar incidents across Miami-Dade County, suggesting a possible pattern of targeting men wearing expensive watches at bars and clubs.

The alleged victim told police he met Crouse at the Carousel Club within Gulfstream Park on 12 April, and the pair later arranged for her to visit his home, where they drank together. He reported feeling unusually tired and confused before falling asleep, then waking hours later to find his gold 40mm Presidential Rolex, featuring diamond hour markers and a diamond-covered bezel and valued at $98,400 (£77,000), missing; he subsequently identified Crouse from a photo lineup. Authorities say she is linked to further active cases in Aventura, Miami and Miami Beach following a similar pattern, with toxicology tests in one case detecting the sedative zolpidem.
