A 50-year-old man died after being struck by a car in Fernvale, Queensland, on Sunday evening. A 45-year-old woman who was known to him was arrested at the scene and is assisting police with their inquiries; the circumstances of his death remain under investigation.

Police were called to Stoneywood Street, about 65 kilometres west of Brisbane, at approximately 5.55pm after reports that a vehicle had hit a man. He was found unresponsive and declared dead at the scene. Police have not reported further details about the incident or indicated whether charges have been laid.
