A woman believed to be in her 60s has died after being struck by a vehicle on Monaro Highway in the New South Wales Snowy Monaro region on Friday evening. Emergency services attended the scene approximately 1 kilometre south of Bredbo at around 6:30pm, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene despite treatment attempts.

The incident involved a 54-year-old male driver who remained uninjured and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing. Police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the collision, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner. Traffic diversions were implemented in the area whilst emergency services responded to the incident.
