Woman in her twenties dies after fall from south London tower block
A woman in her twenties has died after falling from the UNCLE tower block in Elephant and Castle, south London. She was found unconscious on the ground near Churchyard Row at approximately 9:35am on 1 October and was pronounced dead at the scene. This incident marks the second fatal fall from the same 45-storey luxury residential building within months, raising significant concerns about safety and support.
The death follows an incident in May in which Rakesh Pai (47), his wife Aditi Paralkar (46), and their nine-year-old son Sid fell approximately 400 feet from their 36th-floor apartment. The family's tragedy had highlighted personal struggles, including Sid's terminal illness, his learning difficulties, and kidney disease, as well as reported mental health issues affecting his mother. Police are currently investigating the latest incident, which is not being treated as suspicious, whilst continuing investigations into the earlier family's deaths.
