## Key points

- A woman says she believed Hunter was a man.
- Silvano denies six sexual assault charges.
- The trial is hearing conflicting accounts of what she knew.

## Summary

A woman has told Caernarfon Crown Court she believed she was in a relationship with a heterosexual man she met online, and denied that their encounters involved “role play”. Blade Silvano, 44, is accused of posing as a male Army surgeon called Hunter; the woman says she learnt Silvano was female only after being contacted by someone described as her lover’s wife.

The prosecution alleges Silvano presented herself as a biological man over several months, while keeping the lights low and not allowing the woman to touch her groin. The woman says she would not have engaged with Hunter’s dating profile if she had known the truth. Silvano denies six counts of sexual assault by penetration, alleged to have taken place between November 2022 and June 2023, and maintains the woman knew she was female.
