Police in Phoenix, Arizona, have charged a woman with stealing and crashing an ambulance that was parked outside a concert venue, according to reports. The incident occurred outside Talking Stick Amphitheatre, where Avenged Sevenfold and Good Charlotte were performing on their co-headlining tour, raising concerns about vehicle security around large public events involving emergency services.

Phoenix police allege that 24-year-old Grace Vicente entered the ambulance, which had responded to a call at the venue and had its keys left inside, at around 11pm on Thursday. She then drove a short distance before crashing into another vehicle; officers detained her at the scene and noted signs of impairment, leading to charges of DUI and vehicle theft. The driver of the other car was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The Avenged Sevenfold and Good Charlotte tour was due to conclude in Los Angeles on 30 August.
