- Disney reportedly cited viewership but shared no figures.
- Yahya Abdul-Mateen raised concerns about Marvel’s treatment of Black creatives.

## Summary

Marvel has cancelled *Wonder Man* just months after renewing it, surprising cast member Joe Pantoliano, who said he thought the show was wonderful and that many people were disappointed. His comment that “more shall be revealed” hints at possible unanswered questions, but he offered no further explanation.

The series, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley, debuted on Disney+ in January 2026, was renewed in March and cancelled in July. Abdul-Mateen said Disney cited viewership without sharing figures, while he also argued that Marvel’s record with Black creatives raised concerns about fairness. The reasons for the reversal remain unclear.
