The eight-episode series, which followed actor Simon Williams (Abdul-Mateen II) navigating Hollywood while concealing his superpowers, featured Ben Kingsley, Josh Gad and Joe Pantoliano. Showrunner Andrew Guest said via TikTok that contracts had already been signed and production was due to begin early next year, adding that Disney and Marvel internally decided the show "didn't make sense for them" despite it having done so only months earlier, and pointed to broader questions about which kinds of stories platforms are choosing to prioritise.
