## Summary

The latest launch figures show that World of Warcraft: Forever brought back more lapsed players than any previous launch in the series and set a record for peak concurrent players. Blizzard says the new branch also attracted the most new players at a WoW launch in 15 years.

Released on 4 November after a busy beta, Forever is a permanent branch alongside the modern game and WoW: Classic. It revisits Azeroth as it was in 2004, with new content, storylines, races and opportunities; Blizzard called the launch the smoothest in the franchise’s history. No player totals were provided.
