The comments come amid heightened public interest in Williams following the popularity of Heated Rivalry, with Reid and showrunner Kat Sandler both noting his strong fan following as he joins the cast.

Yaga, adapted from Sandler's play and drawing on the Eastern European Baba Yaga folktale, is described by Sandler as "propulsive, sexy, funny, dark, and wildly surprising," leaning into horror and sexual themes. Reid plays private investigator Rapp, who is hired to find Williams's character, Henry Park, a young heir to a commercial fishery who goes missing; Reid also teased a fast-paced, twist-filled plot. The series is set for an initial release on AMC+ in October 2026.
