Yash’s ‘Toxic’ Trailer Unveils Dual-Role Father-Son Conflict at Core of Gangster Epic
The trailer for “Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups” introduces Yash in dual roles as Raya and Ticket, a father and son whose opposing positions drive the gangster epic’s central conflict. Directed by Geethu Mohandas, the film aims to combine large-scale action with themes of loyalty, betrayal, redemption and moral ambiguity, rather than following a conventional gangster-film formula.
The trailer also features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi, while Rajeev Ravi handled cinematography and “John Wick” stunt coordinator J.J. Perry oversaw action choreography. Lionsgate will distribute the film in selected international markets; it was shot in Kannada and English, with Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam dubbed versions planned, ahead of its worldwide cinema release on 26 August.
