## Key points

- A rocket narrowly missed a woman filming.
- Seven people were arrested after a separate Birmingham incident.

## Summary

A group of about eight people fired fireworks through Bulwell town centre, narrowly missing a woman and setting fire to a gym’s storage room. The incident highlights the risks to passers-by and nearby residents when fireworks are used in crowded streets.

A rocket broke a window at Gym Beast on Commercial Road; the owner said the building was empty and warned that people in surrounding homes could have been endangered. Nottinghamshire Police said they received multiple reports on Saturday and imposed a dispersal order; officers were also called to a nearby Tesco Extra after a firework was set off inside. In a separate incident in Birmingham, seven people aged 15 to 26 were arrested after fireworks were set off in New Street.
