Despite reduced mainstream visibility, the PUBG franchise has maintained strong commercial momentum, with Krafton reporting a 25 percent revenue increase across its PC, mobile, and regional variants during the first half of 2026. The publisher credited new content—including a cooperative PvE mode called Xeno Point and cross-franchise collaborations—alongside its World of Wonder user-generated content platform (comparable to Roblox and Fortnite) as key drivers of sustained engagement.

Krafton's broader financial results underscore the franchise's ongoing profitability, with second-quarter 2026 operating profit reaching approximately £213 million, a 67 percent increase year-on-year. PC and console segments led growth rates at 155 and 143 percent respectively, whilst mobile showed more modest gains of 5.5 percent, prompting the publisher to emphasise expanded creation tools and licensing deals with major intellectual properties for the second half of 2026.

  • PUBG IP revenue increased 25% in H1 2026, with Krafton crediting new PvE modes, franchise collaborations (Payday), and user-generated content tools
  • Krafton's operating profit set a record at ~£213m (67% YoY growth), though mobile growth lagged behind PC and console segments
