## Key points

- Trail cam footage shows a young buck tossed by a larger one.
- The smaller deer lands on its feet and runs off.
- The clash may be linked to competition during the rut.

## Summary

A trail camera captured a young, small-antlered buck charging a larger buck and being quickly lifted and tossed into the air. The younger deer landed on its feet, then fled as the larger buck chased it.

The article suggests the clash may have happened during the rut, when bucks compete over territory and mates, though the footage cannot confirm the reason. It presents the brief encounter as a vivid example of the size and strength difference between the animals, and of the risk of challenging a larger buck.
