## Key points

- Rabbi Abba Bryski faces a felony murder charge.
- Nicholas Lang died after being hit at a Costco petrol station.
- The cause of the incident remains under investigation.

## Summary

Abba Bryski, 35, has been charged with felony murder after Nicholas Lang, 28, was struck by a car and died at a Costco petrol station in Camarillo, near Los Angeles. The case matters because prosecutors allege Bryski used his car as a deadly weapon, though the circumstances leading to the collision have not been reported.

Deputies were called to the scene last Tuesday and detained Bryski after witnesses identified him as the driver. Lang, who was from Modesto, was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead; Bryski also faces a charge of resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer and is being held on $3 million bail. He is due in court on Monday, and the investigation remains ongoing.
