Roku has launched Fairground AI Creator TV, a free, advertising-supported channel dedicated entirely to films made using generative AI. The channel is run not by Roku itself but by Fairground Entertainment, which curates and distributes work from a network of more than 100 AI filmmakers, describing the output as "AI Cinema." The launch highlights how streaming platforms are beginning to carve out dedicated space for AI-generated content, testing whether audiences will actively seek out such programming rather than simply stumbling across AI clips online.

Fairground's channel operates as a FAST (free ad-supported streaming television) service, joining the more than 500 channels already available on the Roku Channel, and is also distributed via Xumo Play and Canela.TV. Despite the "AI-generated" label, production often involves significant human input, as with the film Lost Garden: The Awakening of the Lantern Knight, whose creator wrote the story and screenplay himself while using AI tools mainly for animation, voices and music. Fairground actively courts creators through a submission portal and competitions offering prize money and a 50% revenue share, aiming to move independent AI filmmakers from social feeds onto conventional television screens.
