YouTube Premium will soon include a Peacock subscription at no extra cost, with US subscribers gaining access to Peacock's ad-supported Premium tier starting early next year. The move is part of a wider push by NBCUniversal to expand Peacock's reach, and gives YouTube Premium users access to films, TV shows and live sports such as NFL and NBA coverage without an additional fee, at least for now.

The deal was confirmed by Matt Strauss, Chairman of NBCUniversal's Media Group, who framed it as a way to bring Peacock to millions of YouTube Premium subscribers while boosting engagement with NBCUniversal content. YouTube Premium currently costs $15.99 a month, and Peacock's ad-supported plan alone normally costs $10.99, meaning existing subscribers could see significant added value if pricing stays unchanged. There is no firm release date yet, though the rollout is targeted for early 2027, and some observers have noted a precedent — such as Xbox Game Pass adding Call of Duty before eventually raising its price — for concern that a similar increase could follow here.
