## Key points

- YouTube says viewers will still see the dislike button.
- Creators will find it in a three-dot menu on their own videos.
- Full dislike counts remain available in YouTube Studio.

## Summary

YouTube says it is not testing hiding the dislike button from viewers after screenshots suggested it had moved into a three-dot menu. The change applies to creators viewing their own uploaded videos, clarifying that the button remains available to users watching videos.

For creators, the dislike button will sit behind the three-dot menu, while full dislike counts remain available in YouTube Studio alongside other analytics. YouTube hid public dislike counts in 2021, citing efforts to prevent harassment, and removed the dislike button from Shorts earlier this year.
