Amazon joins YouTube Shopping affiliate programme for eligible creators

Amazon has joined YouTube Shopping’s affiliate programme, allowing eligible creators to tag Amazon products in videos, Shorts and livestreams and earn commission when viewers buy through those links. The move expands YouTube’s creator-commerce offering with one of the world’s largest retailers, potentially making product recommendations more useful for viewers and creating an additional income stream for creators.
YouTube lowered the subscriber threshold for access to its ecommerce system in March, widening eligibility for creators. More than one million people have joined YouTube Shopping, according to the company, and its affiliate programme has recently launched in Argentina, Mexico and the UK.
