Zara Larsson says she is entering a new phase of her career with greater creative control and a stronger artistic identity. In an Allure cover story, the Swedish singer explains that she wants her music, visuals, performances and aesthetic to form a complete “world”, while moving beyond the child-star image associated with her early success.

Larsson rose to fame after winning Sweden’s Talang aged 10 in 2008 and later achieved international hits including “Lush Life” and “Never Forget You”. Her Midnight Sun era produced her second-highest-charting album on the Billboard 200, while “Lush Life” reached a new Hot 100 peak of No. 35 after going viral again in late 2025; she also earned her first Hot 100 top 10 this year with PinkPantheress on “Stateside”. She is scheduled to perform at All Things Go festivals in New York on 25 September and Washington, DC, on 26 September.
