TNT has released the first trailer for High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam, a new CIA thriller series starring Joel Kinnaman, confirming it will premiere next month. The show draws on true events, blending the tense manhunt style of Zero Dark Thirty with the psychological profiling approach of Mindhunter, tracking the pursuit of a dangerous figure alongside an exploration of his mindset. It marks Kinnaman's next major project following his high-profile roles in For All Mankind and the hit Netflix series Detective Hole.

The series is based on the memoir "Debriefing The President" by former CIA analyst John Nixon, and follows the real-life hunt for Saddam Hussein. TNT confirmed the first two episodes will air on 13 September at 9pm EST, with a third episode following on 14 September. New episodes will then be released every Sunday and Monday at 9pm EST, building to a Season 1 finale on 4 October.
