Apple TV Officially Sets Release Date for Chris Pratt’s New Military Action Thriller
Apple TV has confirmed that Chris Pratt's new film, Way of the Warrior Kid, will premiere in November 2026, offering the actor a rare departure from his usual hard-edged military and law enforcement roles. Directed by McG, the film sees Pratt play Jake, a decorated Navy SEAL who uses his military training to help his bullied nephew rather than resorting to typical revenge-fantasy tropes seen in similar films, marking a more emotionally driven take on the genre.
The story follows Jake spending a summer with his sister Sarah (Linda Cardellini) and her son Marc (Jude Hill), who is struggling at school with bullying, poor grades and a lack of friends. Jake launches "Operation Warrior Kid" to teach Marc genuine courage, a process that also helps Jake confront his own personal struggles. The screenplay, adapted by Will Staples from Jocko Willink's book, is set for release on Apple TV.
