Ariana Grande Teases Classic Hollywood-Themed ‘Petals’ Music Video at NYC Show: Watch
Ariana Grande has unveiled a black-and-white teaser for the music video accompanying "Petals," the title track from her upcoming album, debuting the 25-second clip during a stop on her Eternal Sunshine Tour in New York. The film noir-inspired preview leans into an old Hollywood aesthetic, showing a hopeful starlet answering a casting call before the "Petals" title reveals Grande's silhouette rehearsing under studio lights, and closes with a nod to being "shot entirely on VistaVision." The video, directed by Christian Breslauer, builds anticipation ahead of the album's release.
"Petals" will be the second single from the album of the same name, following "Hate That I Made You Love Me," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 in June. The album is due for release on 31 July, two years after Eternal Sunshine, which spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard 200. Grande is roughly halfway through her 41-date Eternal Sunshine Tour, which is on course to gross $100 million, and will play a second Barclays Center show before moving on to a three-night run in Boston.
