Engadget · 24 hours ago

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at its Galaxy Unpacked event, with fresh leaks from Evan Blass's Leakmail Substack offering the clearest look yet at the smartwatch's design and specifications ahead of the reveal. The leaked renderings suggest a notably slimmer and more durable device than its predecessor, alongside a substantially upgraded battery and display, positioning it as a significant refresh to Samsung's flagship wearable line.

According to the leak, the new watch will be 12% thinner than the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra and will gain an IP69K dust and water resistance rating, up from IP68. Battery capacity is said to rise from 590mAh to 800mAh, while peak display brightness could reach 5,000 nits, up from 3,000 nits. The watch is also rumoured to run on the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip, the same processor tipped for the forthcoming Galaxy Watch 9, though pricing and full confirmation await Samsung's official announcement.
