Lava La Rue has released a new single, "Prince Of Bologna", recorded as part of Speedy Wunderground's rapid-fire singles series with producer Dan Carey. The track follows the London artist's recent EP "Do You Know Everything (D.Y.K.E)", which reframed their identity and highlighted their dual role as both solo artist and band, and continues a fast-moving run of output.

The song was co-written with Tomasso Medica of Husky Loops and pieced together from overheard conversation snippets, giving it a raw, urgent pop feel. It is out now digitally, with a seven-inch vinyl release following on 30th July, and is accompanied by a self-directed video shot in Brighton depicting a shoplifting chase across the city's streets and rooftops, made with the help of local parkour practitioners Ziggi and Mitchy. Carey said he had wanted to work with Lava La Rue since seeing them perform at Latitude Festival in 2021.
