Mötley Crüe launched their "Return of the Carnival of Sins Tour" on Friday in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, opening a 33-city North American run with support from Extreme and Tesla. The band performed a hits-heavy, 17-song set, marking the start of a summer trek that underscores their continued draw as one of the enduring names in classic rock and hair metal.

The tour will run through 26th September, with a final show in Ridgefield, Washington, taking in major markets including Toronto, St Louis, Cincinnati, Dallas and Phoenix along the way. Mötley Crüe opened with "Red Hot" and leaned heavily on their earliest, heaviest albums, Too Fast for Love and Shout at the Devil, while later favourites such as Dr. Feelgood and Girls, Girls, Girls featured less prominently. Openers Extreme and Tesla played 10 and nine songs respectively, with Extreme drawing on both their breakthrough album Pornograffiti and newer material from Six, while Tesla stuck largely to their greatest hits.
