RUSH Rumored to Play Las Vegas Sphere Residency in 2027

Consequence · 19 hours ago

RUSH are reportedly being lined up for a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere in 2027, according to radio host Eddie Trunk and a report in The Sun. The Canadian rock band recently launched the North American leg of their "Fifty Something" reunion tour and are due to tour internationally in early 2027, making a late 2027 residency plausible; the absence of any Las Vegas shows on their current itinerary has fuelled speculation that dates are being held back for the venue.

Trunk said he had heard the band were planning 16 to 18 Sphere shows and that it was close to a "done deal", though he stressed on social media that this remained unconfirmed and that guitarist Alex Lifeson had previously been lukewarm about the idea. A source told The Sun that talks had been ongoing for some time and contracts could be finalised within weeks. Sphere residencies have varied in scale, from U2's 40-date opening run to Metallica's planned 24 dates from October 2026 to March 2027, with Tool also previously linked to the venue before U2 secured the launch slot; RUSH's current tour runs through December in North America and concludes in Helsinki on 10th April 2027.
