American Songwriter has put together a nostalgic list of four classic rock songs from 1970 that it says baby boomers still fondly remember. The piece marks 50-plus years since the tracks were released, highlighting how songs from that pivotal year in music remain culturally memorable today.

The featured songs are Creedence Clearwater Revival's folk-rock hit "Who'll Stop The Rain" (No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100), John Lennon's solo single "Instant Karma!" (No. 3 Hot 100, No. 5 UK), Simon & Garfunkel's chart-topping "Bridge Over Troubled Water" (No. 1 in both the US and UK), and Hotlegs' "Neanderthal Man" (No. 22 Hot 100, No. 2 UK), a deep cut by the band that would later become 10cc.
