Samsung has confirmed pricing and reward details for its new Galaxy Card, a credit card launching on 22 July alongside the company's Unpacked event. Rather than showcasing new hardware, the card is designed to reward customers for spending directly with Samsung, and its launch timing means Unpacked's product announcements should give cardholders immediate opportunities to earn cash back. Samsung joins other technology firms, including Apple and Amazon, in offering a branded credit card.

Cardholders earn five percent cash back on eligible direct Samsung purchases, three percent via Samsung Wallet, two percent on streaming subscriptions and one percent on everything else, plus a 20 percent discount on the VIP Advantage warranty scheme. New applicants can also earn a $200 bonus by spending $2,000 within 90 days of opening an account, and Samsung notes that a $1,500 Galaxy Z Fold 7 purchase would itself yield $75 in rewards. The card became available from 22 July, applicable online or in Samsung retail stores.
