Developing story first seen 18 hours ago
Josh Lucas has joined the cast of "Discretion," Paramount+'s upcoming legal drama starring Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning, Variety has confirmed. The series, first ordered straight-to-series in October 2025, is based on Chandler Baker's short story of the same name and explores themes of power, secrecy and non-disclosure agreements within a prestigious Dallas law firm, marking a notable addition to the streamer's scripted slate.
The eight-episode series will centre on Fanning's character Lenny, a summer associate who uncovers a web of NDAs, putting her at odds with Kidman's formidable senior partner Sharon. Lucas will play Greg, husband to a powerful corporate law partner at the same firm. Production is set to begin later this year, with Baker writing and executive producing alongside Kidman, Fanning, Susannah Grant and others, and A24 producing for Paramount.
