"Sherlock" and "Doctor Who" creator Steven Moffat has been confirmed as the headline international guest at Serielizados, the Barcelona series festival, joined by producer Sue Vertue. The appearance highlights the festival's growing profile in drawing major British television talent while it strengthens its ties to the Catalan TV industry and continues attracting Spanish premieres of notable international series.

Moffat is currently working on the highly anticipated series "Number 10", while Vertue, CEO of Hartswood Films, has produced "Mr. Bean", "Sherlock" and "Number 10"; Hartswood was majority acquired by ITV Studios in 2024. The 2026 festival runs 19–28 October, opening with the fertility-clinic drama "In Vitro" and closing with anthology series "Episòdic: El Principi d'Arquimedes"; last year's event saw in-person attendance rise 80% to 16,000, alongside 194,000 online viewers via streaming partner Filmin.
