Former England captain Bryan Robson has paid tribute to Kevin Keegan following the football legend's death at the age of 75 after a battle with cancer. Robson said Keegan "showed how to lead by example and was a huge influence on me", adding that he took a great deal from watching how Keegan conducted himself in the game.

Keegan's death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from across football, including from Graeme Souness, Alan Shearer and Jamie Carragher, as well as Prince William, who said Keegan had "inspired generations". Keegan made his last public appearance in Newcastle in May, reportedly still showing his trademark warmth and humour despite his illness, shortly before his death was announced.
