Lego has revealed an official "The X-Files" building set, created in partnership with star Gillian Anderson, as part of its fan-submitted Lego Ideas range. The 1,478-piece set includes eight minifigures, among them Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, and marks a nostalgic nod to the 1990s sci-fi series ahead of its release next month.

The set recreates Mulder's FBI office, a forest clearing and a hovering UFO, alongside minifigures of Walter Skinner, Mr. X, Alex Krycek, Carl Busch, the Flukeman and a grey alien, plus easter eggs such as an "I Want to Believe" poster and Mulder's sunflower seeds. It was originally designed by Australian fan Brent Waller for Lego Ideas' '90s Nostalgia Challenge. Lego Insiders get early access from 1 August, with general sale from 4 August at $199.99; buyers between 1–10 August also receive a bonus "Scully's Lab" set while stocks last.
